Filor Solicitors – who we are

Christopher Filor commenced his career spending 7 years with the Metropolitan Police working in plain clothes in South London.  He left in 1989 to join Carre Orban & Partners which, following a merger, became part of the world’s largest executive search firm, Korn Ferry International.

After four years with Carre Orban & Partners, he qualified as a solicitor with a commercial law firm in Holborn;  subsequently leaving a City based US firm specialising in Directors & Officers insurance (Sedgwick Detert Moran & Arnold) in 1997 in order to relocate and join Bond Pearce LLP’s Exeter office.

Despite initially specialising in solicitors’ negligence and "big ticket" commercial disputes, by 1999 a large proportion of his practice had become employment related.  With over 15 years legal experience he has advised on all aspects of employment law, including director and shareholder disputes, sensitive cases, Employment Tribunal litigation, outsourcing/TUPE and he also provides corporate employment support on mergers and acquisitions.

With a background in commercial disputes he still undertakes both professional negligence and commercial litigation.

He is both a qualified solicitor advocate and mediator with the ADR Group.
